Chevy Beat........

GM India made the major launch by bringing their sexiest small car in Indian Market named BEAT...

The new small car made entry in India on January 4, 2010 just before the start of Delhi Auto Expo 2010.

Chevrolet Beat is a car that is ideal for those with an urban lifestyle.

With the styling of a sporty hatchback, it showcases the new direction of GM design and a new trend in the design of mini-cars. Chevrolet Beat's amazingly sized headlamps that literally stretch from the front end to the back of the hood, with clear polycarbonate lenses and chrome-coated bezels, resemble diamonds, adding a posh appearance and glamour.

A window line that is slanted dynamically upward, an arching roofline and sharp sidelines bring a sporty yet edgy look, a rarity in the segment. Secret vertical rear door handles located in the C-pillar are another unusual feature. They give Beat a unique, sporty three-door coupe appearance without sacrificing five-door utility.

Aimed at meeting the highest quality and performance standards in the most sophisticated markets in a competitive environment, the global vehicle was put through over 1 million kilometers of intensive durability tests in extreme weather conditions and crash tests both in India and abroad. It has high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel over key areas of the body to ensure segment-leading occupant protection. And with a revolutionary design, advanced technology, unique features and benchmark safety, the Beat offers much more than an ordinary mini, Slym added.

Engine Of Chevrolet Beat

The S-TEC II engine employs PDA (Port De-Activation) system which “ensures high exhaust gas recirculation, resulting in combustion stability at low speeds and optimal performance at high speeds together with improved fuel efficiency.”
The PDA system also reduces emissions.

An automatic temperature controller inside the engine is another unique feature which uses a dome-type long-skirt cylinder block narrowing the space between intake valves while the application of four resonators reduces engine noise. It is mated with the efficient S-TEC-II engine is a 5-speed manual transmission.

My favourite Estilo is back again....

Maruti Suzuki launched a new petrol version of its hatchback Estilo on Tuesday and price ranged between Rs 3.12 lakh and Rs 3.95 lakh at showrooms in Delhi.

All new estilo has recovered from all its drawbacks of its previous version.

According to Maruti, Estilo has established itself as a brand and did not need the crutches of "Zen" to its name , so they dropped the car's "Zen" prefix.

"Estilo is a brand in itself and is very different from the Estilo we launched in 2006 or the Zen in 1993," said Mayank Pareek, Maruti's managing executive officer in-charge of marketing and sales.

The new model is equipped with a 998 cc, three-cylinder petrol engine. According to the company, it is not only more powerful compared with the earlier version but also better in terms of fuel-efficiency, besides being compliant with the latest emission norms.

The hatchback will be manufactured at the Gurgaon plant where the company's "A-Star" and "Ritz" models are produced, Shinzo Nakanishi, managing director and chief executive of the carmaker, said at a glittering event in New Delhi.
"The car delivers a superior fuel efficiency of 18.2 km per litre," Nakanishi said.

The new Estilo is available in eight colours, including four new ones - ecru beige, emerald Blue, dusky brown and quantum orange - apart from the existing silky silver, superior white, bright red and midnight black.

Maruti is also confident that the company will come out of its financial woes in the upcoming festival season as sales are expected to shoot up.

"Last year was a disaster, but we expect better sales this year," Nakanishi said.
The company's signature model "Maruti-800" will be available only in tier-II cities once the emission norms are implemented from April 2010.

Maruti Suzuki is also on course to design a car on its own and launch a made-in-India car by 2012.

Asked about the launch of Suzuki's big car Kizashi in Indian market, Nakanishi said the car "might be launched in two-three years depending on the market condition".
